ROLL CAGES:  All Vehicles that have roll cages must follow certain guidelines.  Contact extreme Speed Time Attack for roll cage construction and materials:

    BASIC DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

The basic purpose of the roll cage is to protect the occupant if the car turns over, runs into an obstacle, or is struck by another car. It shall be designed to withstand compression forces from the weight of the car coming down on the rollover structure and to take fore/aft and lateral loads resulting from the car skidding along on its rollover structure.

Fuel Cells allowed (modification of factory floor pan is allowed for installation of Fuel Cell) Contact eXtremeSpeed for further details on Fuel Cell intelation.

Convertibles are allowed on track with roll bars. Some cars with factory roll protection are allowed on track without the need for an aftermarket/custom roll bar if they are equipped with a factory OEM roll protection system. Check with eXtremeSpeed Time Attack to verify your convertible vehicle is equipped with an adequate factory installed roll protection system.

A tow hook or tow strap must be installed on at least one end of the vehicle.

If any driver seat is used in conjunction with a race harness, a harness bar or roll bar is highly recommended. A race harness can be secured using bolts, so long as the angle of the harness, as it comes off the shoulder/seat, is within the limit of +/- 25 degrees. The OEM 3-point seat belt may be used with race seats, so long as the OEM 3-Point belt fits snugly across the hips and chest of the occupant, with no slack in the belt.
